I also added a few genuine old irons on a ledge mixed in with detergent boxes that were vintage. To continue my vintage subject, I added an antique looking wallpaper border close to the ceiling with old looking washboards and irons about it.
I added an assortment of weathered baskets and greenery on most notable of the cabinetry over the washer and dryer, to provide the space a cheerful appearance. I put coordinating throw rugs on the tiled flooring to cushion and comfort my feet while I am doing laundry.
